Continuing Education Workshops
Continuing education is important to the canine massage professional not only to maintain credentials but, more importantly, to gain expertise in specialty areas.  These workshops are a natural extension to the basic certification, and are particularly important when working closely with veterinary practices.  Typical specialty education workshops include:

4 Day Advanced Soft Tissue Techniques for the Canine Professional

Geared for veterinarians, canine rehab specialists, and massage therapists looking to add advanced techniques in their practice. Trigger point therapy, post surgical edema and scar tissue reduction, tendon and ligament healing, and lymphatic drainage will be covered. A base knowledge in anatomy and physiology along with a base knowledge of palpation skills are required. Approval from CMC is required before registering.

Low Stress Handling, Behavior, and Touch Techniques for the Canine Professional

This workshop is a MUST for any canine professional that handles dogs! Recognizing stress and reducing that stress in a dog is a must for any professional who handles, restrains, or deals with dogs on a regular basis. Whether you are a groomer, dog walker, trainer, massage therapist, veterinarian, or vet tech, this workshop will open your eyes to the more calming and efficient ways of handling the animals that you work with. Cooperation and trust building techniques along with behavior modification and touch techniques will be covered. Incorporating these techniques within your business is also covered.
